I use two pieces of these cables to connect a vintage tuner and tape deck to my amplifier, which means the source isn't quite hi-fi in either case, yet I find the sound very pleasant. Although the cables aren't as thick as some other products on the market, the insulation is apparently more than sufficient in my use case because I don't hear any added hum or other kinds of distortion, despite the fact that my cables lead pretty close to other cables. The connectors hold well in their female counterparts. Overall, the build quality looks very good to me.
